On December 16, 2024, the Los Angeles Superior Court Appellate Division moved to electronic filing (e-filing).

• If you have an attorney: Your attorney must file documents electronically unless they have a court order allowing them to file paper documents.
• If you are an attorney: If you cannot use the e-filing system, you can ask for an exemption by submitting form EFS-007 to the Presiding Judge of the Appellate Division.
• If you do not have an attorney: You can choose to file electronically, but you can also still file paper documents.
